Summer is officially here for Detroit’s Koi. Yesterday, over 500 volunteers became involved helping move Koi at the Belle Island Conservatory. During the winter months, the Koi at Belle Isle Conservatory are contained in an indoor habitat. Volunteers moved the Koi from the indoor habitat, using plastic buckets, to the outdoor pond in front of the Aquarium. More than 292 Koi were successfully transferred.
